Nothing is sold through this site. It takes no bookings, runs no walks and handles no payments; the 21 free tours described across these pages belong to independent guides on GuruWalk and freetour.com, and a spot is reserved on the platform page of the walk you choose. What stays here is a single inbox. Corrections, tips about new walks and plain disagreement all get read. Short, specific messages work best.
Some notes earn their keep fast. A message saying a museum has dropped its free evening, or that a guide now gathers on the far side of a square, can spare the next visitor a wasted trip across town. Corrections of that kind are why this page and its inbox exist.
- Walk details drift. A guide moves a starting point, trims a route, or hands the walk to a colleague, and the description here starts lagging behind what happens on the street. If any of the 21 tours reads wrong, send the name and the difference. One thing never needs flagging: cost. Every walk is free to reserve and runs on tips alone, so there is no figure that can move on you.
- A walk that has quietly stopped running, or changed shape without word. Name it and describe what you saw. If the walk's own GuruWalk or freetour.com page backs the report up, the entry here is fixed or removed.
- Museum entry rules move too. Some Copenhagen attractions are free without conditions, the Church of Our Saviour's interior among them, while others attach strings: the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek opens free on the last Wednesday of every month, and Frederik's Church lets you into the interior at no charge while selling the dome climb. Found a page repeating a rule an attraction has dropped? Send the current terms. Every entry condition on this site is taken from the institution's own published ticket information.
- Know a walk these pages have missed? If a bookable pay-what-you-want tour of Copenhagen exists on GuruWalk or freetour.com without a card here, send the link and it gets reviewed like any other. No guide can pay for a spot, and no operator can buy a better one.
- Ordinary questions are welcome too, whether the FAQ or the guides already hold the answer.

After You Write
Fixes come first. A free-entry day pinned to the wrong weekday, or a meeting point on the wrong side of the harbour, can burn a visitor's only free afternoon in the city, so anything that repairs a fact on a tour page goes to the front of the queue. Broader questions wait their turn, and a few of them grow into a full guide rather than a quick reply. There is no newsletter to join, and no address is passed on.
How Booking Works Here
No reservation is ever made through this site. Each of the 21 walks described here belongs to an independent local guide or operator, and the sign-up itself happens on GuruWalk or freetour.com, depending on which platform carries that walk. The tip works the same way: you pay what you want at the end, and the guide receives it through the platform. This site's job stops at research and honest description, comparing routes so you can pick the one that suits you. If a start time changes, a spot needs cancelling or a payment goes wrong, the guide or the platform holds the record and can fix it. This site has no access to any of that.
If you have already reserved a seat, your confirmation email is the document that matters, not anything published here. It holds your booking reference, the meeting point and a direct line to the guide who leads the walk. A late departure, a group you cannot find, a date you want to shift: the person running the tour is the only one who can act on those, because the reservation lives with them and this site plays no role in delivering it. Sending a message here about a live booking only delays the answer you need.
Two lines in that email are worth reading closely before you leave your hotel. The first is the meeting point. Guides in Copenhagen name an exact spot, a square, a statue, a particular exit, and the walkers standing alone in the wrong place are almost always the ones who skimmed that line. The second is the cancellation rule, which each guide sets for themselves rather than this site, since a pay-what-you-want seat is still a seat another visitor wanted. On both points, the guide's own page on GuruWalk or freetour.com has the final say.
Plenty of questions get answered faster by browsing than by writing in. The tour categories split the 21 walks by area, with Indre By, Christianshavn and Vesterbro routes grouped together, while the guides set out which museums and landmarks admit you free and under what conditions. Both pages open instantly, which beats waiting on a reply.
